More Randomness, Just For You

Today has been complete loco and crazification. Yeah, yeah, I'm blogging from my Blackberry again. This time I'm waiting at the car fix-it place for my now-marginally-repaired car to be brought around. Talk about a random pocket of time.

It's been a long day. L-O-N-G. But I managed a solid 45 minutes of editing in Fated, since I'm determined to send off a chapter to my sweet little critique buddy Gwoe tonight. And I reached a micro-epiphany in the midst of those edits; it's wonderful! But it means completely rearranging a LOT of stuff I thought was already ready. Still, slow-and-steady is the name of my new game. I'm absolutely DONE with rushing through a story so I can get to The Thrill of the Query. I am doing this one right.

Oh! Yay! The car is here!! Have a beautiful weekend everyone! I will try VERY HARD to do the Lovefest Blogfest whatever-the-heck-the-fest is going on for Valentine's Day! Byeee!!!!!

  1. That's great that you squeezed some editing in. I'm very impressed you wrote this all on your BlackBerry:)

  2. How on earth can you stand all that tedious typing for such a long post with such little keys? You are too cool! :-)

  3. Good luck with your manuscript! I am just going through the same thing now. I was just about done with the story when I changed a few things and now I have to go back and redo almost everything. SIGH. Oh well, lol. If it means a better story in the end it's worth it :)

  4. *sigh* I'm done with that mess, too. It's too stressful.

  5. I love and hate micro-epiphanies because it's daunting at first and yet rewarding when they're done.

I'm a horrible texter so I'm amazed that you can do this mobile blogging so well!

  7. Editing never ends. I was thinking about my WIP and characterization last night--I have a long way to go. But doesn't it say something when we're able to recognize the faults within our own writing? I sure hope it does. Have a good weekend!

  8. "The Thrill of the Query." Hang onto that optimism.

I, too am in awe of your teeny tiny typing skills. Maybe you are a fairy after all.

  9. I'm with you on that one. I want to go back to writing a story instead of the MS...

  11. You're so funny...thrill of the query...hehe. If I'd known just how scary and demoralizing the querying process was before I went into it, I would not have rushed it at all. But I totally get this. You just want to be in the game, not standing at the sidelines. It's definitely not a process to rush, though, and I learned this the absolute worst possible way. Oy, thankfully, I only queried 10 people with my pathetic, suck-dog manuscript before realizing how bloody awful it was. I just hope by the time I get back into querying, the game isn't OVAH. The best of luck to you, m'dear. I know you're going to be crazy successful.

And, um, on a blackberry? Seriously? You are superwoman. I'm convinced. I really hope we can meet up some day so you can let me borrow your cape.
