Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays... A Holiday Linkfest!

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to Followers and Lurkers alike! Thank you all so much, guys... really truly. I'm one away from one hundred Followers. I can't believe how many people found my blog and decided it might be worth coming back to. You all rock.

Scroll down if you want some Christmas Lights with Laughs. I'm getting the kids ready for family Christmas mass now that I'm done with my holiday bake-o-rama. I think I might have gone a little overboard this year (I'm not even showing the brownies and cupcakes. But they're goodies! Yum!). Some of you may remember that I despise cooking and love baking, so any excuse right?

You guys have such funny and full of awesome holiday messages. Here is something for everyone in

The Coaster's Holiday Linkfest
(there's something for everyone)

Please people, go over and check out:
And head to Void's blog because, who doesn't love cookie carnage?
There's also...
Christmas hilarity going on at Melissa's blog
Gorgeous Nativities on Wendy's blog
Scobberlocth has an adorable picture of herself as a kid in need of Starbucks
Tina has a super-short clip of Small World all decked out for the holidays
Mary has the Muppets and John Denver
Suzette and Bethany have a peaceful Christmas post and picture
Corey has a hysterical video for the love of Hanukkah
and lastly, for some holiday fun facts, trivia AND movie clips, you should definitely visit Erica

I know, I know, there's tons of holiday cheer all over the blogosphere and this is probably only the tip of the iceberg; please do let me know of any good ones I've missed! This list can only get better. For my contribution, enjoy my Ode to Holiday Lights, complete with snarky comments.

My thoughts:

The irony of being original. Or not. Heh heh. I bet this is what agents see when writers send them the "next" Twilight.

***

"Maybe I should send this one to a beta reader before sending it out into the world... nah, I hate revisions. I'm sure it's perfect the way it is."

***
Ahh yes, a metaphor for the aspiring author. "I thought getting my book published would be easy... a little help please?? Anyone?" Moral: Don't go it alone.

Before I go I'm putting this up because I LOVED the Phineas and Ferb Christmas special... here's the hilarious-yet-sweet ending song (notice the nod to A Charlie Brown Christmas special, and the always clever inside jokes if you watch the show):

And, for those who love the old classic:

Thanks again for being so full of awesome, sprinkled with awesome, covered in whipped awesome and drenched in awesomesauce.
See you next week! :)

  2. You're hilarious Diana!!! Love that Greeting Seasons - we don't need no stinkin' rewrites or betas. Fun cookies. Thanks for all the links and for linking mine.

Thanks for sharing the link love, too. Very kind of you! Hope you are having a great Christmas. It is actually snowing here in Dallas. I don't know if I've ever had a White Christmas here! :)

  9. Oh Bethany, that is one of the kindest comments I've ever read. I'm touched. Thank you for being so sweet to me and so supportive. I appreciate the well-wishes and I hope for the very best for you in 2010 and beyond. Merry Christmas :)

Mary- Haha I laughed at the Greetings Seasons too. Such a strong case for getting someone else to look over your work *snicker*. You're so welcome for the link, and I couldn't help it... the Muppets rock! Merry Christmas again Mary :)

Karen aka Scobberlotcher- Oh wow it's snowing?! That is so fun! We almost took the kids to the snow today but they're enjoying their toys so much we decided to take shameless advantage of their quietness and watch movies upstairs. Yeah, they're left to their own devices with a stockpile of toys and baked goods. It works. Merry Christmas Karen :)

Shannon- I loved Ditto the best too, ha ha! Merry Christmas Shannon :)

Gwoe- Oh I am so not Martha Stewart! Well, maybe just in the baking way, but not in the sewing/crafty/gardeny way. Big thumbs dowwwwn in those departments. I'm actually procrastinating Christmas dinner right now, as we speak (because we're speaking now, right? Haha). I guarantee the smoke alarm will go off at least once today, and meanwhile you might not bake up a bunch of useless goodies but your family eats actual food, ha ha. Oh my gosh remember our cottage in the woods? Me and my cookies aren't worth much compared with your mad skills. This city-slicker girl would be clueless without you!! Merry Christmas Gwoe :)

Erica- Stop, you're making me blush! I liked your trivia and especially the clips. Chit-chat with you soon, Merry Christmas :)

Suzy- You sweetheart, you and your sis are worth a hundred followers by yourselves. Merry Christmas :)

Tina- Oh ha ha, love it! Christmas Merry to you too!

Emily- Thank you, we are having fun lounging around. I guess I *should* get the dinner stuff going. Soon. Merry Christmas Emily!
